Ray's 1st Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! We spent the day over at Alvin's Aunt Linda and Rory's house. They had all kinds of good food. All the normal Thanksgiving day food but I think my favorite was Chuck's noodles! They are so good!!!!! Ray had "sweet potato's and turkey and banana's" and he also had his "puffs" that he likes so much! It was great seeing everyone and spending the day with them.
Ray got another tooth finally, I've been saying he was going to get this tooth for 6 months now. 17 more to go!! I don't like teething (I'm sure Ray doesn't either) Ray had his 2nd swim class last Saturday and I had to take him by myself because Alvin had to work, Mommy didn't do the greatest job keeping his mouth above the water, he kept choking. I felt so bad, so I'm glad and I'm sure Ray's glad that Daddy's going this time!
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday!

Swim Lesson

Ray had his 1st swim class, I think he really liked it, except when he got splashed in the face. Two girls I work with took their girls, Jillian and Brooklyn. We had fun and are looking forward to next week.

I also had to post just a couple of pictures that I like. The one in the high chair was the 1st time he had a "biter biscuit" and the other I just love. Look at that wonderful scratch he has on his cheek, he woke up Saturday morning and there it was. Needless to say I cut his nails that night. I swear I could cut them one day and the next they need cut again, they grow like weeds!

Big Day

Ray still has his cold. I'm still doing all those things like before. I guess it just has to run it's course. He acts like he feels fine, he's still happy and plays with his toys. But I still feel so sorry for him!

Boy oh Boy today was a big day, 1st we took Ray to the Christmas gift and hobby show, and he got to see Santa! This year he didn't mind him but next year may be a different story. I am getting in the mood for the holidays now. I wanted to come home and put all my stuff up. (still way to early) We didn't get much, I did get Ray 1st ornament for the Christmas tree. I'm not sure that I'm happy with it, so I will be getting another maybe. They had some neat stuff there, but it was so busy, it was had to walk and look at things cause of how busy it was. We had fun though.

After that Alvin and I were hungry, we had the camera and we were passing my favorite place to eat, "Hooters" so we stopped and got Ray's picture taken with a Hooters girl! That's my boy!! Ray might not really care now but I'm sure when he see's this picture when he's a teenager he will think it's pretty cool!

Well for some of you that don't know I have Carpel Tunnel syndrome and I need to have surgery on both hands. I have scheduled the surgery for December 11Th. I will have my worst hand (left) done 1st then hopefully get the 2ND done the last week in December. My deductible has been met this year due to my infection I had in April due to the c-section, that's why I want to get it done this year. I am looking very forward to not having numb hands. The Doctor suggests that I do it before I get pregnant again. (that wont be for awhile) He said that due to it being soooooo bad while I was pregnant with Ray. He thinks because I'm having alot of problems now that it may be worse when I get pregnant again. (Alvin and I cant take that again)

Ray starts swim lessons next weekend and we are looking forward to that. His lessons are every Saturday for 8 weeks, I'm excited but I don't want to get into a bathing suit (scary) Ray loves his bath so much that I hope he likes swimming.

Hope all is well.

Sick Baby

Ray has his 1st cold! It started Monday night, he was sneezing and had a runny nose. I thought I could smell an odor coming from his ear but Alvin couldn't smell anything. He went down to sleep around 8:00 and he was up 2 times by midnight. He was so congested. After using the "sucky thing" and saline drops, which by the way he absolutely HATES!!!! Alvin finally got him to sleep with him in the recliner. I woke up at about 4:15 and found them there.
I called the Dr. and she saw him this morning and said his ears looked "beautiful" and that he just has "a cold" and to keep doing what I have been. I wish I could do more for him, like give him good cold medicine but he is to young for that stuff, he will just have to settle for Mommy's hugs and kisses (and all that other stuff). I guess "tis the season" for illness, and I should have expected it!
I'm not sure what tonight has in store for us, but I rubbed his chest with Vicks Vapor Rub, sucked his nose out, used saline, turned on the humidifier, gave him some ibuprofen and filled his belly with food. I think that about covers it, so we will see.
I hope everyone is doing good!

Halloween

Well Ray had his 1st Halloween. What a great night! We went over to Uncle Steve and Aunt Dawn's to go Trick or Treating with Ray's cousins, Jess and Brandon. Ray was a Skeleton, Jess was a Princess and Brandon was Spiderman! It was so much fun to take Ray up to the house's, he didn't know what was going on but I did and it was special to me. We didn't take him to every house but he got quite a bit of candy (for Alvin and I) I put Ray in a chicken costume just to get his picture in it. Alvin said "poor Ray" but he looked awful cute in it!
My Mom got back to Florida, she left last Thursday morning. I always hate it when my family leaves. I know I will see them in March for Ray's 1st birthday. (really not that far away) We got to spend an evening with my nephew Zach, he flew back with my mom so he spent the night with us. Boy is he getting old. I enjoyed seeing him with Ray.

Ray stayed all night last night with his Aunt Dawn, Uncle Steve and cousins, so that Alvin and I could go to karaoke. I shed a few tears but I did fine. That was only the 2nd time Alvin and I have gone out for the night. We had a great time and will have to do it again. Alvin didnt have a very good day on Sunday. Lets just say it been awhile since he's had that many! Thanks again to Aunt Dawn and family for taking Ray!

I also wanted to post a few pictures of the weekend that my sister and her family came up, it was very short but it was so good to see them. Evan and Kayla are growing up so fast. I always enjoy my time I have with them. They were able to go to the Pumkin Patch with Ray so it was special to me.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween and I'll try to post soon.
